Nick Birkus

I build AI tools
and full-stack products.
From an AI assistant my support team uses every day to a real-time fantasy hockey app, I design and build the interfaces, services, and integrations that make a product work.

WikiRivals
Five cards, a new corner of Wikipedia. A collecting prototype with daily packs, article-based stats, and a collection you can keep exploring.
The server assigns the cards before the reveal. Refresh or retry the opening and you get the same result.

The person
behind the tools.
Curiosity gets me started.
Being useful keeps me building.
From idea to working software.
I work across interfaces, APIs, data models, and integrations to turn ideas into working products. My projects include an AI assistant, an operational platform, a real-time fantasy hockey app, and a collectible discovery prototype.
I use Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex throughout development. I define the product behavior, work through implementation decisions, test changes, and keep improving what ships.
Outside of work: hockey, snowboarding, and a little too much DotA 2.

A saved draft. A clear failure. A preview before a bulk action. The small details are how a tool earns trust.
Let's
talk.
Looking for someone who can build the whole thing?
Software engineering, applied AI, and thoughtful product work. I'd like to hear what you're building.
